Akènta Day 2026 in Alghero confirms its status as the most iconic event of the Sardinian summer. Every year, in the heart of July, the Coral Riviera becomes the stage for a world-unique event, celebrating the union between the oenological excellence of Cantina Santa Maria La Palma and the beauty of our sea. Ares Turismo is proud to be part of this tradition, offering visitors a privileged vantage point to witness the underwater sparkling wine emergence during Akènta Day 2026.
Participating in Akènta Day 2026
Participating in Akènta Day 2026 means much more than just taking a simple excursion: it is about becoming part of a large community amidst music, diving, and toasts at sea. If you plan to visit Sardinia in July, this event is a must-see. The Ares Turismo team awaits you at the port, ready to guide you through the secrets of our gulf or provide specific information to best organize your day, especially if you decide to rent a boat from us to experience the Emersion Party in total autonomy and privacy during Akènta Day 2026.
A World-Unique Boat Party
Once the sparkling wine has emerged, the day transforms into a traveling party. Boats gather for a collective toast where glasses of Akènta and Akènta Sub meet amidst music, diving, and fun. It is a complete sensory experience, where the taste of the wine blends with the scent of salt and the crystalline colors of our gulf.
More Than an Event: A Tribute to Sardinia
Akènta Day 2026, created by Cantina Santa Maria La Palma, was established to celebrate the unbreakable bond between land and sea. It is a tribute to the passion of Alghero’s winemakers and the extraordinary nature that allows for the creation of a one-of-a-kind wine.
The coordinates of fun: where does the event take place?
One of the most dynamic aspects of Akènta Day 2026 is its location, which can vary to ensure maximum safety and the best possible fun for all participants. Traditionally, the crates of Akènta Sub are positioned past Capo Galera, just outside the boundaries of the Marine Protected Area (MPA), at a strategic point where the sea guards its treasure.
However, the true “host” is the weather: the boat party always takes place based on the sea and weather conditions of the day. For this reason, we at Ares Turismo stay constantly updated, as the final destination can be changed even on the day itself to find the perfect sheltered spot.
Over the years, we have experienced unforgettable moments both within the Porto Conte Park and in suggestive areas like “il rosso”. In recent editions, such as in 2024 and 2025, the party moved to the splendid setting of Cala Burantì: a choice that provided us with incredible photographic shots thanks to a sea so crystalline it looks like a natural swimming pool. Whatever the destination for the 2026 edition, the spectacle is guaranteed!
Useful Information for the 2026 Edition
The official dates and program for Akènta Day 2026 are usually announced close to summer. Since boat spaces to follow the emergence and the boat party are very limited, we recommend monitoring availability well in advance.
To enjoy the experience to the fullest, here are some suggestions from the Ares Turismo team:
Book well in advance: As the most requested event of the year, boats and dinghies are reserved months ahead. Do not wait until the last week!
Protection and Comfort: The July sun in Sardinia is unforgiving. Bring high-protection sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses with you. All our boats are equipped with awnings, but being prepared is essential.
Respect for the Environment: We are in a protected park. We ask you to celebrate responsibly, avoiding throwing waste into the sea and respecting the marine fauna that makes this place magical.
